SHOWTIME!

Follow these tips every day for your house to look its best for broker previews, buyer showings and open houses. Remember...look at your home through buyer's eyes.

Exterior

• Keep the grass mowed.
• Shrubs trimmed.
• Pick up lawn tools, toys, newspapers.
• Clean up after pets.

Interior

• Pick up toys, shoes, make up beds, put away clothes.
• Tidy up bathrooms; set out show towels.
• Do a quick dusting and once-over on the rugs with vacuum.
• Empty the wastebaskets.
• Prepare the table with flowers or place settings.
• Set out a coffee table book.
• Open the drapes and shades.
• Turn on lights.
• Open windows to freshen rooms.
• Turn off the television; play very soft background music.
• Set a comfortable temperature.
• Keep pets out of the way.
• Candles offer a nice scent and ambience but please do not leave them burning. Many times buyer's schedules change at the last minute and we have to cancel or reschedule. You certainly do not want to leave a burning candle unattended.

Special Tips

• Secure jewelry, cash, prescription medicine and other valuables.
• It is usually best if you can leave during the showing.
• If people approach you who are not accompanied by an agent please refer them to us, we will prescreen them.

Many of the tips seem overstated or unrealistic to your schedule and lifestyle. I understand!
